In our ongoing World Domination Tour, we have decided that the theme for August (and, possibly always) will be The Gratitude Project.

This is a submission for The Gratitude Project.

What are YOU grateful for, The Band?

This will be short.

I feel compelled to write it.

My upbringing could be that of any middle-class American.

I was raised in a middle-class Christian family in a middle-class suburb of Dallas.

To me, though, my family is special.

My parents have been married for more than 30 years. They have always made it clear that my two siblings and I are loved, fully supported, and can do anything to which we set our minds. They love us unconditionally.

I've experienced loss, happiness, confusion, and determination.

I always say: I'm an optimist and perfectionist with pessimistic and procrastinating tendencies.

This is true, but I try to let the optimism win.

No matter how trying and stressful my life might get, I try to remember that I am truly blessed and have not had it as hard as others.

I just want to let you know that you are not alone.

Life might be bad, difficult, stressful, crazy and/or unbearable right now; but it will get better.

You are awesome. You are blessed. You are loved.

I'm here wishing you hugs, love, happiness and light.
