It has been a l-o-n-g, hot summer here in Chicago.
I have a love/hate relationship with the air conditioner - I love walking into a cool apartment when it's 97 degrees outside - I hate having my apartment closed up for 4 months straight.
This weekend, a large mass of cool air moved its way south, and with it came daytime high temperatures in the low 70s and nighttime low temperatures in the upper 40s.
All of my windows are now open. The hazy air of summer is being replaced with the crisp beginnings of fall and a breathe of fresh air.
